PacWorld is a reincarnation of the classic PacMan game developed by Midway and released in 1980. In this version, made by Johannes Wallroth, there has been an obvious graphical facelift. The game itself has suffered no changes whatsoever, so the game-play remains the same - PacMan should eat all the white dots at each level to complete it, and gain bonus points for eating the ghosts or for capturing the cherries.
The level design is the major improvement of this version. There are six different worlds, namely City, Fire, Ice, Night, Desert, and Forest. Each of these worlds differs in graphics, especially in the elements shown at the corresponding level. The change in color is actually the biggest difference among the worlds. However, these changes do not really improve the game-play, moreover, the graphics in these worlds are poor, and in Windows environment, using DirectX, you would expect more from the 2D sprites. It is a good time-waster, just expect nothing new in terms of game-play, nor any significant difference compared to its other competitors.
